Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I have the honor to make the following nominations for
Calvert county:

Justices of the Peace.

2nd District—James L. Hutchins, Charles R. Harrison,
Thomas C. Carpenter, Cephas H. Bowen.

3rd do James P. King, Jesse Carr, Thomas Plum-
mer, William Ireland.

On motion by Mr. Williams,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments agreeably to the nominations.

Mr. Denson, from the Committee on Executive Nomina-
tions, to which had been referred the nomination of James
J. Jarboe, for Registration Officer of the 6th district of Prince
George's county, reported the Committee were of opinion
that said nomination ought to be confirmed.

Whereupon the Senate advised and consented to said
nomination.

Mr. Denson, from the Committee on Executive Nomina-
tions, to which had been referred the nomination of Abner
T. Hood, as Justice of the Peace for the 6th district of Prince
George's county, reported the Committee were of opinion
that said nomination ought to be confirmed.

Whereupon the Senate refused to advise and consent to
said nominations.

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi-
ness.
