May 6.—John W. A. Miller, Justice of the Peace 14th
ward, vice G. J. Ringrose, deceased.

June 27.—James E. Stone, Justice of the Peace 16th ward,
vice James Nugent, resigned.

July 23.—Charles F. Winter, Justice of the Peace 7th ward,
vice Charles C. Quinn, resigned.

Sept. 15.—William Woodville, Auctioneer, vice Charles A.
Gibson, failed to qualify.

Oct. 17.—George William Brown, Chief Judge of the Su-
preme Bench, vice Thomas Parkin Scott, de-
ceased .

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments agreeably to the nominations.

Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I herewith transmit to you a list of Executive appoint-
ments made during the recess of the Legislature for Anne
Arundel county.

1872.

June 1.—John. Q. A, Jones, Justice of the Peace 5th dis-
trict, vice Frederick G. Harman, failed to
qualify.

July 18.—Frank A. Bond, Justice of the Peace 5th dis-
trict, vice William B. Bond, deceased.

Aug. 18.—Allen Marriott, Officer of Registration 1st dis-
trict, vice himself, failed to qualify,

Aug. 18.—Charles McC, Claytor, Officer of Registration 2nd
district, vice himself, failed to qualify,

Aug. 18,—Watson Nolan, Officer of Registration 3rd dis-
trict, vice himself, failed to qualify,
