Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported favor-
ably

The House bill entitled an Act requiring Pawn Brokers to
pay a State License,

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add after word "additional," in section 1, line 2, the word
"sub," and after word "to," in same line, the words "sec-
tion 11 of."

Add after the words "section 11," the words, "sub-section

2."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county to invest a sum of money
belonging to said county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Brewer, from the Committee on Temperance, reported
favorably

The House bill entitled an Act relating to the sale of spiri-
tuous and fermented liquors, in certain counties of this State,

With the following amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 6, after the word "respectively," strike out
all to the word "Act," in 7th line, and insert the words:
"Second Tuesday in July next, which election shall be held
in accordance with the law governing general elections of this
State."

Insert "or Dorchester," after "Caroline."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Brewer moved to suspend the rules so as to give a
third reading this day to the above bill.
