CHAPTER 38.

An act to alter and change the name of Dutch alky, in the
city of Baltimore, to Marion street.
|
Passed Feb. 7, 1834
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the name of Dutch
alley, in Baltimore city, shall be, and it is hereby changed
to Marion street: Provided, this act shall be first approved
by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.

CHAPTER, 39.

An act to authorise and empower the Levy court of Dorches-
ter county, to levy a sum of money on the assessable pro-
perty of said county, for the relief of Saulsbury Col-
lins.

Passed Feb. 7, 1834
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Levy court of Dorchester county, be
and they are hereby authorised and empowered to levy
upon the assessable property in said county, such sum of
money as they in their discretion shall deem reasonable
and just, to compensate Saulsbury Collins, for the loss of
the services of negro Jeffrey, an indented apprentice, who
was sentenced by Dorchester County Court to the peniten-
tiary of this state, which sum of money to he levied, collect-
ed and paid over in the same manner as other county
charges are now levied, collected and paid over.
