1833. RESOLUTIONS.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the penalty incurred by the neglect of the trustees of
Washington college, in Kent county, to report to the Le-
gislature within the lime prescribed by the resolution of
last session, be and the same is hereby remitted.
 

No. 61.

Passed Mar. 10,1834

Resolution to compel Collectors to comply with the requi-
tions of the acts of Assembly therein mentioned.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy courts or county commissioners respectively of
those counties, and the ci!y of Baltimore, which have not
complied with the requisitions of the act of eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-one, chapter two hundred and eighty-one,
section eighth, as further modified by the act of eighteen
hundred and thirty-two, chapter three hundred and sixteen,
be compelled to levy the sum due from them respectively,
and that the Attorney General of the state be instructed to
insjtute such legal proceedings as may be necessary to
compel the collectors to comply with the requisitions of
said act, and enforce the collection of the said payment of
the sums due from said counties, according to the true
meaning of the act of Assembly of eig/iteen hundred and
thirty two, chapter three hundred and sixteen.

Resolution in favor of Ann Goldsborough.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore be and he is hereby
authorised and required to pay to Ann Goldsborough, of
Saint Mary's county, or to her order, during life, in quarter
yearly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of
a private, in consideration of the services rendered by her
husband during the revolutionary war.
