CHAP. 29.

that the said commissioners shall return a plot of said lots,
together with all their proceedings to the next August term
of Harford county court; and if no objections shall be made
by the parties interested before the fourth day of the term
of said court, next after that to which the said proceedings
shall have been returned, then the said court shall confirm
said proceedings, and that the said proceedings when so
confirmed, shall be conclusive evidence of the bounds and
lines of said lots, against all persons whatsoever.

part of Jail lot

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
may if they deem it expedient, sell and convey all or any
part of the jail lot aforesaid, except what is included within
the jail wall, and what lies between lines drawn from each
end of said walls, perpendicular to the line of the main street
of the town of Belle Air.

Advertise, &c.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners shall
expose the same to sale, at the Court House, and adver-
tise the same in all the newspapers printed in the county
at least twenty days before said sale.

 

CHAPTER 29.

Passed Feb. 7. 1834

An Act to alter and change the name of John Pritch, a mi-
nor of Queen Anne's county, to that of John Wilmer
Story.

Name changed

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of John Pritch, a minor of
Queen Anne's county, be and is hereby changed and al-
tered to the name of John Wilmer Story; and it shall and
may be lawful for the said John Pritch, at all times hereaf-
ter, to be called and known by, and hold and use the name
of John Wilmer Story, and by that name to sue and be su-
ed, in any court of law or equity.
2. And be it enacted, That all securities, promises, con-
tracts, assurances, deeds, and lawful acts whatsoever, here-
after to be made and done by the name of John Wilmer
Story, shall be of the same force and effect, and equally
avail to all intents and purposes, as if the name of John
Wilmer Story, had been the original and proper name of
the said Pritch.
