first day of July, in each and every year, to make and de-
clare a dividend of the interests and profits of the said cor-
poration after paying; its expenses, and the note to pay
over to the depositors or their legal representatives within
ten days thereafter.

CHAP. 28

Dividends

Sec. 8. Ami be it enacted, That nothing in this act con-
tained shall be held or construed to authorise the Company
incorporated by this act, to do any act or acts inconsistent
with the privileges secured to the existing banking institu-
tions in the city of Baltimore, by the act of eighteen hun-
dred and thirteen, chapter one hundred and twenty-one, or
by any other act or acts of Assembly now in force, nor to

authorise this corporation to issue any bill, note or other
device, in the nature of a bank note,

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That the concerns of the In-
stitution hereby intended to be incorporated shall be at all
times subject to the inspection of the Treasurer of the
western shore, or of such other officer or agent of the state
as may be selected for that purpose by either branch of the
Legislature.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
and be in force until the year eighteen hundred and forty
fire, and until the end of the session of the next General
Assembly which shall happen thereafter.

CHAPTER 28.

An act relating to the public lots, in the town of Belle Air,
in Harford county.

Passed Feb. 7, 1834

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of Harford county, be
and they are hereby authorised and required to ascertain
and settle the boundaries and lines of the public lots of
land, in which the court house and jail of said county
stands, and that they cause a survey and plot thereof, to
be made by some sworn surveyor, and that the said com-
missioners before they proceed to ascertain said bounda-
ries and lines, shall give notice in writing to all the ad-

joining land-holders, who reside in the said county, and
to those adjoining land holders who reside out of the said
county, they shall give notice by publication in all the news-
papers printed in said county, for a month previous, and
