An act to regulate the Terms of Prince George's county
Court,
|
Term fixed
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the April term of Prince
George's county court next succeeding the passage of this
act the terms of said court shall be commenced on the days
hereinafter stipulated to wit: on the third Monday in No-
vember, and on the fourth Monday in April, in each and
every year, instead of the second Monday in October, and
the first Monday in April, as now provided by law.

Cases pending
|
Sec. 2, And be it enacted, That nothing in this act con-
tained shall operate as a discontinuance of any cause in
said court pending after the next April term thereof, but all
such cases shall be continued over until the next succeed-
ing term created by this act.

Repeal
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent with
the provisions of this act be, and the same are hereby re-
pealed.

WHEREAS, the manner of appointing electors of presi-
dent and Vice President, of the United States, by a gene-
ral ticket, as directed by the legislatures of a large majori-
ty of the states, has the effect of giving the whole electo-
ral vote of each of those states, to one person, for each of
