A further Supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorpo-
rate Emmitsburg, in Frederick county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That incase of the death, refusal, disqualifica-
tion, resignation or removal of the Burgess out of the lim-
its of the corporation of Emmitsburg, the commissioners
of said corporation immediately thereafter, shall meet and
elect some suitable person to act and perform the duties of
Burgess for the remainder of the titne, for which the Bur-
gess was to serve or was elected.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the act,
to which this is a supplement, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter one hundred and
seven, that are inconsistent with this act, be and the same
are hereby repealed.

An act to provide for the appointment of a Wood Corder at
Easlon Point, in Talbot county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Governor atid Council, be, and they
are hereby required immediately after the passage of this
act, and in every year thereafter, to appoint a suitable per-
son to be a corder of firewood, at Easton Point, in Talbot

county, whose duty it shall be whenever any fire wood,
shall be brought to said Point for sale or when called upon,
by any seller or purchaser of any firewood brought to said
place for sale, to measure and inspect the same forthwith,
as he in his judgment may believe to be proper and just,
being governed in al! respects in the measurement of said
wood by the law in such case made and provided tor the
regulation of the cording of fire wood in the city of Balti-
more.
