JAMES THOMAS, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1833.

SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Isaac Wilson, who was deputy Sheriff as
aforesaid, at the time of the sale aforesaid, be, and he is
hereby authorised to make, execute and deliver to the said
Peter Wills, a deed of conveyance, of all the right, title,
interest and estate of the said Patrick Woods, of, in and
to the said part of the said tract of land, in the preamble
of this act described, to him the said Peter Wills, .and his
heirs forever.

CHAP. 214.

Authorised to deed

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all the, right, title, inter-
est, and estate of the said Patrick Woods, of, in and to the
said part of the said tract of land, described in the pream-
ble of this act, shall by the said deed of conveyance so to
be made as by the first section of this act is authorised, be
vested in the said Peter Wills and his heirs, forever.

CHAPTER 214.

An act Incorporating a company to make a Turnpike road
from Clear Spring, in Washington county, to the Chesa-
peake and Ohio Canal.

Passed Mar, 12, 1834

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a company be and is hereby incorporated,
for making a turnpike road, to be commenced at such
point in Clear Spring, in Washington county, as may be
agreed upon by a majority of the stockholders, and con-
tinued thence by the nearest and best route to the Chesa-
peake and Ohio canal.

Incorporation

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That for making said; road,
subscription books for a capital stock of ten thousand dol-
lars, in five hundred shares of twenty dollars each, be
opened in Clear Spring, Hagerstown, Wiliiamsport, in
Washington county, by or under the direction of all or any
of the following commissioners, to wit: Abraham Barnes,
Isaac Nesbitt, David Cushwa, Michael Smith and Joseph
Charles, on the first Monday in June next, and continue
open for three successive days, and in the event of three
hundred shares of said stock not being subscribed for, at
the expiration of the said three days, in the manner herein-
after provided, that then and in that event the said com-
missioners, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised
and empowered to cause said books to be re-opened, as
