LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 19.

Passed Feb. 3, 1834

An act supplementary to an act, entitled, -an act to authorise
the Levy court of Frederick county, to levy a sum of mo-
ney to erect a bridge over the Monocacy river, passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and twenty fight, chap-
ter 67.

Levy authorised

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Levy court of Frederick county, in its sound discre-
tion, be and it is hereby authorised and empowered to le-
vy an additional sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the erec-
tion of a bridge over the Monocacy river, at or near Wil-
liam Miller's Ford, in said county, and if said levy court
shall levy said additional sum of money, it shall be applied
as is provided by the original act to which this is a sup-
plement.

How to be levied

And be it enacted, That any additional sum of money
that may be allowed by the levy court, for the purpose of
completing said bridge, shall be levied on the assessable
property of said county.

CHAPTER 20.

An act to provide for the Inspection of Plaister of Paris,
in the Town of Bladensburg.

Appointment di-
rected

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Levy court of Prince George's coun-
ty, be and they. are hereby authorised and required at their
first meeting in the month of April next, and in the month
of April in every year thereafter, to appoint some suitable
person of said county, as Inspector of Plaister of Paris,
in the Town of Bladensburg.

Oath required

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Inspector of
Plaister of Paris so appointed, before he enters upon the
execution of the duties of his office, shall make the follow-
ing oath or affirmation, before some justice of the peace:
I do solemnly swear, (or affirm, as the case may be, ) that I
will faithfully, truly and impartially, execute the duties im-
posed upon me by law, as Inspector of Plaister of Paris,
to the best of my judgment and understanding, and that
