CHAP. 194.

Road protected

Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That nothing contained in
this law shall be construed to interfere with the rights and
privileges of the company owning the turnpike road pass-
ing through said village.

CHAPTER 194.

A furher supplement to the act entitled, an act f or the distri-
bution of a certain fund for the purpose of establishing
free schools in the several counties therein mentioned, and
for other purposes.

Preamble

WHEREAS, the Orphans' Court of Caroline county, by
several acts of the General Assembly heretofore passed,
are authorised and empowered to draw from year to year
on the Treasurer cf the Western Shore, and the Treasurer
is thereby required to pay to their order the proportion of
the school fund to which said county is or may hereafter
be entitled to, as also the state's donation, Therefore,

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Orphans' Court of said county shall
from time to time as such moneys come to their hands,
distribute the same in the manner it has heretofore been
done, to the several trustees of said county, to be disposed
of according to law, they the said Orphans' Court taking
the receipts of said trustees therefor.

Annual report

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the pas-
sage of this act, that the said trustees shall report to the
Orphans' court on the first Monday of December in each
and every year thereafter, an accurate account of the man-
ner in which they have expended or disposed of said mo-
neys, and the vouchers of their expenditures shall be on
oath, and shall be safely kept and filed by the said Orphans'
court.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That if any of the said trus-
tees shall prove delinquent in any of the duties incumbent
on them under the law relative to their trust, or shall in
any way misapply said moneys committed to their trust,
they shall be accountable to the Orphans' court aforesaid
in any action or actions at law, in any court of justice, to
be brought by and in the name of the said Orphans' court,
for the amount of moneys so misapplied, or for damages
