CHAPTER 16.

An act to repeal so much of the act of December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter two hundred and
twenty-three, as relates to the lands of Sarah Wilkinson,
of Queen Anne's county.

CHAP. 17.

Passed Jan. 31, 1834

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
so much of the act of December session, eighteen, hundred
and thirty-one, chapter two hundred and twenty-three, en-
titled, A further additional supplement to an act for drain-
ing a marsh and branch, known by the name of Long
Marsh, lying in Queen Anne's and Caroline counties, pas-
sed at November session, seventeen hundred and eighty
nine, chapter fifteen, as relates to the lands of Sarah Wil-
kinson, of Queen Anne's county, be and the same is here-
by repealed and made void; Provided, that the persons
holding lands up the stream above the lands of the said
Sarah Wilkinson, shall have the right to extend the ditch
through the lands of the said Sarah, at their own cost and
charges, if they shall deem it to their interest and advan-
tage to do so.

Repeal

CHAPTER 17.

An act for the benefit of Edward W. Lyden, administrator of
Shadrack Lyden, deceased, former collector of Taxes, for
Caroline county.

Passed Jan. 31, 1834

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Edward W. Lyden, administrator of Shad-
rack Lyden, deceased, former collector of taxes, for Caro-
line county, be and he is hereby authorised to collect un-
til the first day of July, eighteen hundred and thirty-five,
all the taxes or public dues which were placed in the bands
of the said Shadrack Lyden, deceased, for collection, as he
the said Lyden, could or might have done in his life-
time.

Authority to collect

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Edward W. Ly-
den, administrator of Shadrack Lyden, deceased, before
he proceeds to collect as aforesaid, shall draw off a list of
all the balances that appear to be due upon the books of the
said Shadrack Lyden, deceased, former collector of Caro-

List and affidavit
