CHAPTER 537.

AN ACT to repeal Section 4 of the Act of Assembly passed
|
 
|
at the January Session, 1866, Chapter 53, entitled "An
|
 
|
Act amendatory of an Act to establish and endow an agri-
|
 
|
cultural college in Maryland, passed at the January Session,
|
 
|
1856, Chapter 97, and of a supplemental Act passed at Jan-
|
 
|
uary Session, 1858, Chapter 265, as said section was re- -
|
 
|
pealed and re-enacted with amendments by the Act passed
|
 
|
at the January Session, 1880, Chapter 231, and as said section
|
 
|
was repealed and re-enacted with amendments by the Act
|
 
|
passed at the January Session, 1888, Chapter 326, and to re-
|
 
|
enact the same with amendments.
|
 
|
SECTION i. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|

land, That Section 4 of the Acts of Assembly passed at the

January Session, 1866, Chapter 53, entitled "An Act amend-

atory of an Act to establish and endow an agricultural col-
|
 
|
lege in Maryland, passed at January Session, 1856, Chapter
|
 
|
97, and of a supplemental Act passed at January Session,

|
1858, Chapter 265, as said section was repealed and re-enacted
|
 
|
with amendments by the Act passed at January Session, 1880,
|
 
|
Chapter 231, and as said section was repealed and re-enacted
|
 
|
with amendments by the Act passed at January Session, 1888,
|
 
|
Chapter 326," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
|
 
|
enacted so as to read as follows:

4. The board of trustees of the Maryland Agricultural Col-
|

lege shall be constituted as follows : There shall be eighteen

trustees.

trustees, five of whom shall be elected by a majority of the

private stockholders of said college, in the manner now
|

provided by law, and the following six named persons shall
