CHAPTER 529.

AN ACT to change the name of The Trustees of the Endow-
|
 
|
ment Fund of the Faculty of Physic of the University of
|
 
|
Maryland of Baltimore City, a body corporate, incorporated
|
 
|
under articles of incorporation dated the 29th' day of June,
|
 
|
1893, and recorded among the Charter Records of Baltimore
|
 
|
City in Liber J. B. No. 31, at folio 167, etc., and to enlarge
|
 
|
the powers of said corporation.
|
 
|
SECTION i. DC it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That the name of the corporation formed under articles

|
 
|
changed to "The Trustees of the Endowment Fund of the Uni-
|
 
|
versity of Maryland."

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall
|
 
|
have perpetual succession, and that the present members of
|

said corporation, namelv, Lawrason Riggs, Henry D. Harlan,

Thomas A. Ashby, Allan McSherry, Samuel C. Chew, Ed-

|
mondson Atkinson, Eugene F. Cordell and Clayton C. Hall,

all of the City of Baltimore, and Charles G. W. McGill, of the
|
 
|
County of Baltimore and State of Maryland, shall severally
|
 
|
continue as such until their membership be terminated by
|
 
|
death, resignation or removal. And any member may be re-
|
 
|
moved for cause by a two-thirds vote of all the members;
|
 
|
provided that any member so removed be first furnished with
|
 
|
a copy of the ground of removal and be given an opportunity
|
 
|
to make answer thereto. Upon the occurrence of a vacancy in
|
 
|
the membership, it shall be the duty of the remaining members

to elect by ballot within one year after the occurrence of a va-

is hereby empowered to receive, hold, invest and control any
