CHAPTER 499.
|
 
|
AN ACT to regulate the sale of poison by druggists and
|
 
|
apothecaries in Washington County, sub- title "Cocaine."
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person in Washington
|

gredient of which is cocaine ; provided, however, that nothing

in this Act shall be construed as preventing any druggist from
|
 
|
selling cocaine or mixture containing cocaine upon the pre-

scription of a regular practicing physician.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person violating the
|
 
|
preceding section shall be liable to a fine of not less than
|

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 500.
|
 
|
AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum of money to repair and
|
 
|
put in condition the State Hay and Cattle Scales at Havre
|
 
|
de Grace.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That the sum of one hundred dollars, or so much thereof
|

as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
|

to repair and put in good condition the State Hay and Cattle
|
Grace.
|
Scales at Havre de Grace, the same to be drawn and expended
|
 
|
by the Commissioners named in the Act of 1878, Chapter
|
 
|
262, who shall return the vouchers therefor to the Treasurer
|
 
|
of Maryland; and the Comptroller is hereby directed to draw
|
 
|
his warrant upon the said Treasurer for said sum accord-
|
 
|
ingly.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
 
|
from the date of its passage.
|
 
|
