.submitted to the legal and qualified voters of said town to

decide by ballot whether or not said bonds shall be issued ;

and that the question whether or not the Mayor and Council

of Brunswick shall issue coupon bonds to an amount not

exceeding ten thousand dollars shall be submitted to the legal
|
 
|
and qualified voters of said town, in said county, at a special
|
 
|
election to be held on the ———— day of April, A. D. 1904;

in order to advise the citizens of the said town of the intent
|
 
|
of this Act, it shall be the duty of the Mayor and Council
|

election, and by such other notice as they may deem necessary

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the election provided for
|
 
|
in Section I hereof shall be held in the same manner and under
|
 
|
the same rules and regulations as other elections for Mayor
|
 
|
and members of the Council of said town; and the ballots
|

bond" and "Against the issue of improvement bonds," The

returns of said election shall be made in the same manner

as is provided for in an election of municipal officers; and

provement bonds," then and in that case no bonds shall be
|

issued; but if a majority of the votes cast shall be For

City Council of Brunswick max issue said improvement bonds

to an amount not exceeding ten thousand dollars, as herein-

after provided.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That if the decision of the said
|
 
|
election shall be for the issuing of improvement bonds for
|

the purpose of improving the streets and alleys of said town,

the Mayor and Council of Brunswick are hereby authorized,
|
 
|
at any time thereafter, to borrow on the credit of the town
|
 
|
of Brunswick an amount not exceeding the sum of ten thousand
|
 
|
dollars, and to issue coupon bonds therefor in the name of
|
 
|
said municipal corporation, to be denominated and known as
|
 
|
"Improvement Bonds" in sums of not less than one hundred
|
 
|
dollars each, and said bonds shall be signed by the Mayor
|
 
|
and clerk of said town and sealed with the seal of said
|
 
|
corporation, and to be registered by the clerk in a separate
|
 
|
book kept for that purpose; each of said bonds shall bear
|
 
|
interest at the rate of four per cent, per annum, payable
|
 
|
annually in each and every year until said bonds are paid,
|
 
|
on presentation of interest coupons to be issued with the
|
 
|
