examined before the Commission, said oath to have all the

qualities of an oath taken before any other judicial tribunal

or officers, and violations thereof to be punishable as other

perjuries are punishable, and the Commission shall have full
|

power to give judgment in any hearing before it as to costs,
|
 
|
which judgments shall be enforceable in the same manner as
|
 
|
other judgments or costs rendered by competent tribunals.
|
 
|
211. Said Commission shall have the power to require all
|
 
|
notices provided by this Act to be given, or which it may be
|

necessary to give in the course of any of its proceedings,

serve notices.

and to allow the sum of forty cents and no more for the

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all other Acts or parts of

Acts, laws or parts of laws, inconsistent with the provisions

|
of this Act be and the same are hereby repealed to the ex-
|
 
|
tent of such inconsistency.

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|

from May the first, 1904 ; provided, that in all cases where

proceedings are or have been begun for the opening of roads,

effective, the same shall be concluded under the provisions of

CHAPTER 466.
|
 
|
AN ACT to allow the legal and qualified voters of Brunswick,
|
 
|
in Frederick County, Maryland, to decide bv ballot whether
|
 
|
or not town coupon bonds not exceeding the sum of ten
|
 
|
thousand dollars shall be issued by the Mayor and Council
|
 
|
of Brunswick, in Frederick County, Maryland, for the pur-
|
 
|
pose of improving the streets and alleys of said town.
|
 
|
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That the question whether or not the Mayor and Council
|
 
|
of Brunswick shall issue coupon bonds to an amount not
