CHAPTER 458.

 

AN ACT to amend the charter of The Baltimore County

 

Water and Electric Company of Baltimore County by in-

 

creasing its powers, giving it perpetual existence and ex-

 

tending its electric business to Howard County.

 

SECTION i. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

cables, lay or cause to be laid such conduits over, across, along,

 

under and in the pavements, streets, avenues, lanes, alleys,

 

roads, ways, by-ways and thoroughfares, whether paved or

 

unpaved, of Howard County, and to set up such connections

 

as may be necessary and proper to supply such electricity to

 

any customer that may desire the same, and that said cor-

 

poration shall also have full power and right at all times after

 

said poles, pole lines, wires, cables, conduits, connections, appa-

 

ratus and appliances are placed or constructed, as aforesaid,

 

to renew, remove or replace the same or any of them at any

 

time or times ; provided, however, that none of the powers and

 

privileges conferred by this Act shall be operative until the

 

municipal authorities of any city or town in Howard County

 

or the County Commissioners of Howard County having juris-

 

diction shall first by ordinance or resolution permit the com-

 

pany aforesaid to exercise the powers and privileges herein

 

conferred, and under such provisions and restrictions con-
