CHAPTER 455.
|
 
|
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Cecil
|
 
|
County to appropriate money for the construction and main-
|
 
|
tenance of the Union Hospital of Cecil County.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That the County Commissioners of Cecil County be and
|
 
|
they are hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate
|
 
|
such a sum of money, not exceeding three thousand dollars,
|

as in the discretion of said Commissioners or a majority of
|
 
|
them may seem proper to the construction of the Union Hospi-
|
 
|
tal of Cecil County ; and said Commissioners of Cecil County
|
 
|
are hereby authorized and empowered, after said hospital is
|
 
|
built, to contribute annually to the support and maintenance
|
 
|
thereof, such sum of money not exceeding one thousand dol-
|
 
|
lars as in their discretion they may deem proper and ne-
|
 
|
cessary ; and said County Commissioners of Cecil County are
|
 
|
hereby authorized and empowered to levy annually by taxation
|
 
|
for such sums as may be appropriated by them under the pro-
|
 
|
visions of this Act in the annual levies for taxation in Cecil
|
 
|
County.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.
