tolls, rents and charges for the use of its lines, exchange

 

apparatus, service and facilities, and for the transmission of

 

messages, information and intelligence over its lines, to operate

 

exchanges and engage generally in the telephone business

 

in all its branches as the same is now conducted by means of

 

electric currents or effects through wires or by any wireless

 

system or by any other improved system of electric telephone

 

communication.

 

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

 

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 452.

 

AN ACT to restrict the sale of cocaine in Frederick County.

 

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That anyone violating any of

 

the provisions of this Act on conviction in the Circuit Court

 

for Frederick County shall be fined by said court not less than

 

one hundred dollars nor more than three hundred dollars

 

for each offense, and on failure to pay said fine, shall be com-

 

mitted to the Maryland House of Correction for not less than

 

three months. The one-half of said fine shall be paid to the

 

informer whether he be an officer or other person.

 

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

 

from May 1, 1904.
