AN ACT to repeal Sections 17, 18, 19 and 20 of Chapter 136
|
 
|
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
|
 
|
at the January Session, 1892, entitled "An Act to incorporate
|
 
|
the town of Aberdeen in Harford County "and to re-enact
|
 
|
the same with amendments, and to add twenty additional
|
 
|
sections, to be designated Sections 20 A, 20B, 20C, 20D, 20E,
|
 
|
20F, 20G, 20H, 20I, 20J, 20K, 20L, 20M. 20N, 20O, 20P,
|
 
|
20Q, 20R, 20S and 20T, inclusive, to follow immediately
|
 
|
after Section 20, all relating to the levy and collection of
|
 
|
taxes in the town of Aberdeen.
|
 
|
SECTION I. Be if enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That Sections 17, 18, 19 and 20 of Chapter 136 of the
|
 
|
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the
|
 
|
January Session, 1892, entitled "An Act to incorporate the
|
 
|
town of Aberdeen in Harford County," be and the same are
|

hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments and twenty
|

new sections be and the same are hereby added to the Act of
|
 
|
General Assembly of Maryland passed at the January Session,
|
 
|
1892, Chapter 136 of the Acts of said General Assembly, en-
|
 
|
titled "An Act to incorporate the town of Aberdeen in Harford
|
 
|
County," to be designated as Sections 20A, 20B, 20C, 20D,
|
 
|
20E, 20F, 20G, 20H, 20I, 20J, 20K, 20L, 20M, 20N, 20O,
|
 
|
20P, 20Q, 20R, 20S and 2oT, inclusive, to follow immediately
|
 
|
after Section 20 of said Act, all relating to the levy and collec-
|
 
|
tion of taxes in the town of Aberdeen, and said sections as
|
 
|
amended and said additional sections to read as follows :
|
 
|
17. That the bailiff shall have the same fees for making
|

arrest or serving process for the violation of any ordinance
|
 
|
of the corporation as are allowed constables for similar ser-
|
 
|
vices, and when the bailiff wilfully fails to discharge any duties
|
 
|
of his office he may, in addition to the remedy of his bond,
|
 
|
be fined by the Commissioners in their discretion not exceeding
|
 
|
ten dollars for any one offense, for the payment of which said
|
 
|
fine his bond shall be responsible.

|
18. The Town Commissioners of Aberdeen shall in each
