CHAPTER 405.

 

AN ACT to repeal Sections 14GA, 146GB, 146C, 146D, 14GDL,

 

146E, 140EL and 146F of Article 81 of the Code of Public

 

General Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Mort-

 

gages," as amended by Chapter 120 of the Acts of Assembly.

 

passed at the January Session of 1896, by Chapter 313 of the

 

Acts of Assembly, passed at the January Session of 1898, and

 

by Chapter 26 of the Acts of Assembly, passed at the January

 

Session of 1902, so far as the same apply to Baltimore City,

 

Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Prince George's, Harford, Charles,

 

Calvert, Allegany, Cecil, St. Mary's, Kent, Queen Anne,

 

Caroline, Talbot and Dorchester Counties, and to allow the

 

several counties, except those hereinbefore named, to collect

 

the said mortgage tax, and apply it to their own resources.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted bv the General Assembly of Mary-

St. Mary's, Kent, Queen Anne, Caroline, Talbot and Dorchester

 

Counties, and that said sections shall be and remain in full force

 

and virtue in law in the several counties of the State of Mary-

 

land, not hereinbefore excepted ; provided, however, that all

 

such taxes collected in the said several counties of the State

 

shall be applied exclusively in the several counties in which

 

the same are collected to county purposes free, clear and dis-

 

charged from any claim of the State of Maryland or its fiscal

 

officers.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from

 

the date of its passage.
