CHAPTER 395.

 

AN ACT to repeal Section 63, and to repeal and re-enact Sec-

 

tions 44, 48, 19, 51, 5-2, 5:5, .55, 57, 58, 60, 62 and 69, and to

 

amend by adding an additional sub-section to each Sections

 

59, 71 and 73, all of the aforesaid sections being sections of

 

Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorches-

 

ter County," sub-title "Cambridge," as enacted by the General

 

Assembly of Maryland at its January Session, 1900.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

County, Md.

land, That Section 63 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title

 

"Dorchester County," sub-title "Cambridge," be and the same

 

is hereby repealed, and that Sections 44, 48, 49, 51, 52, 53, 55,

 

57, 58, 60, 62 and 69 of the said Article, title and sub-title, be

 

and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-

 

ments, and that Sections 59, 71 and 75 of the said Article, title

 

and sub-title be and the same are hereby amended by adding a

 

new sub-section to each to follow immediately after the original

 

sections, and to be desiginated respectively 59 (27), 71 (A)

 

and 75 (24), said amended sections and added sub-sections to

 

stand in the following order and to read as follows :

Record books

44. The Commissioners shall provide and keep three classes

 

of record books : First, the minute books ; second, the ordi-

 

nance books ; third, the general record books. They

 

shall also keep an assessment book, and they may

 

keep such other books as may be necessary. The minute books

 

shall contain memoranda and entries showing the proceedings

 

of the Commissioners as they occur. When an ordinance is

 

passed, the minute book shall show its number and title, and

 

shall set forth the number of Commissioners who voted for and

 

the number who voted against it. The minute book shall also

 

show the transactions of the Commissioners, and a memoran-

 

dum of all contracts entered into by the Commissioners shall

 

be entered in said book, together with the names of the Com-

 

missioners who voted for and those who voted against such

 

contract. All ordinances passed by the Commissioners shall be

 

set out in full in the ordinance book, with the proper num-

 

ber affixed thereto and the date of the enactment of such ordi-

 

nance placed at the end thereof. The Commissioners of Cam-
