SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

eighteen dollars and eighty-five cents, in favor of James P.

Carroll, to pay for an anemometer for the use of the Mine

Inspector, as required by Chapter 124 of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1902 as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 40.

AX ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Queen

Anne's County to grant a pension to Abraham Smith of

said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County

and pay to Abraham Smith of said county an annual pension

of fifty dollars for and during the natural life of the said

Abraham Smith, and to provide for and levy the said sum on

the assessable property of said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.
