CHAPTER 294.

 

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4, "City of Balti-

 

more," of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, to

 

come in immediately after Section 86 of said Article, and to

 

be known as Section 86A.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article

 

4, entitled "City of Baltimore," of the Code of Public Local

 

Laws of Maryland, to come in immediately after Section 86

 

of said Article, and to be known as Section 86A, and to read

 

as follows :

 

86A. Whenever, because of sickness, temporary absence

Engineer shall be unable to discharge any duty or to exercise

 

any power imposed or conferred upon him in person in his

 

primary capacity as City Engineer, by law or ordinances, he

 

shall be and is hereby authorized to delegate in writing, subject

 

to the approval of the Mayor, the discharge of such duty or

 

the exercise of such power to such one or more of his chief

 

subordinates as he may select.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

 

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 295.

 

AN ACT to repeal Sections 180, 181, 182, 206A, 217, 237, 245,

 

246 and 257 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws

 

of Marylandj title "Frederick County," sub-title "Frederick,"

 

and to enact the following in lieu thereof and in addition

 

thereto :

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Frederick City

land, That Sections 180, 181, 182, 2o6A, 217, 237, 245, 246

 

and 257 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of

 

Maryland, title "Frederick County," sub-title "Frederick," be

 

and the same are hereby repealed, and the following sections

 

be and the same are hereby enacted in lieu thereof and in addi-

 

tion thereto, to read as follows:

 

180. No person shall be City Register of said city unless
