ettsville Bridge Company, from the owners thereof, upon such

terms as may be agreed on between the said County Commis-

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That if the County Commission-

County shall pay to the owners of said stock the sum agreed

on between them or fixed by the three appraisers, and shall

receive the said shares of stock so purchased to the amount of

one-half of the whole issue and hold the same for the use and

benefit of the public ; provided that the County Supervisors or

other proper authorities of London County in the State of Vir-

ginia shall likewise acquire and purchase the other one-half

of said shares of stock for the purpose of making the said

Berlin and Lovettsville bridge a free bridge for the use of the

traveling public and others, and upon the purchase of the

whole number of shares of stock issued by said corporation as

aforesaid, the title to said Berlin and Lovettsville bridge and

to all appurtenances thereto belonging shall vest in the Board

of said shares of stock for the purpose of making the said
