LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

Laws, title ''Allegany County," sub-title "County Commis-

 

sioners and Roads," and to re-enact the same with amend-

 

ments, and add certain additional sections to said Article I,

 

sub-title "Roads," and to provide for a road directory and

 

a Road Engineer in Allegany County, and to place all the

 

public roads in said Allegany County under the control of

 

the Road Directory to be created by this Act.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Allegany

land, That Sections 33, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215 and 216 of

County roads.

Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Allegany

 

County," sub-title "County Commissioners and Roads," be and

 

they are hereby repealed, and said Sections 211 to 216, both

 

inclusive, are hereby re-enacted with amendments, and twenty

 

additional sections are hereby added to said Article I to be

 

designated 216A, 216B, 216C, 216D, 216E, 216F, 216G, 216H,

 

216I, 216J, 216K, 216L, 216M, 216N, 216O, 216P, 216Q,

 

216R, 216S and 216T, to read as follows:

 

211. Messrs. Daniel F. McMullen, David P. Miller, Elza W.

Road Directors

Nave and James Findley are hereby appointed and delegated

 

to act as Road Directors for said county for the term of two

 

years, or until their successors are elected and qualified. The

 

above named persons shall hold office until February 1, 1906.

 

The persons here appointed shall immediately meet and select

 

one of their number as chairman thereof. The said Road Direc-

 

tors shall each give bond to the County Commissioners, proper-

 

ly conditioned for the faithful performance of his duties, in the

 

penal sum of five thousand dollars. If the bond of a surety

 

company be given the same shall be paid for out of the Road

 

Directors' account. The qualified voters of Allegany County

 

shall, at the general election in 1905, and every two years

 

thereafter, elect four persons to serve as Road Directors for a
