CHAPTER 22.
|
 
|
AN ACT to enable the Harriet Lane Home for Invalid Chil-
|
 
|
dren of Baltimore City, a body corporate, to increase the
|
 
|
number of its managers.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That the Harriet Lane Home for Invalid Children of
|
Hospital for
children and
|
Baltimore City, a corporation incorporated in the year 1883,
|
training-
school for
|
and existing under the General Incorporation Laws of Mary-
|
nurses.
|
land, for the purely charitable objects of the care and cure
|
 
|
of invalid children and as a training school for nurses, be and
|
 
|
it is hereby authorized to increase the number of its managers
|
 
|
to such number, not exceeding twenty-five, as may be pro-
|
 
|
vided by its by-laws.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
 
|
from the date of its passage.
|
 
|

CHAPTER 23.
|
 
|
AN ACT to repeal Sections 1 to 28, inclusive. Article 20 of the
|
 
|
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County, " sub-
|
 
|
title "Almshouse, " and all amendments thereto, and to re-
|
 
|
enact the same with amendments.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That Sections 1 to 28, inclusive, of Article 20 of the
|
 
|
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County, " sub-
|
 
|
title "Almshouse, " be and the same are hereby repealed and
|
 
|
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
|
 
|
SEC. 2. The County Commissioners for Somerset County
|
 
|
shall meet at the Almshouse in said county during the

SEC. 3. At their annual meeting in May they shall appoint

they may deem proper, they shall appoint a physician and

such agents and laborers as they may think necessary; and
|
 
|
the overseer so elected shall enter upon the discharge of his
|

duties on the first day of January next ensuing.
