CHAPTER 249.

 

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 179

 

of Article I of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Alle-

 

gany County," sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Consta-

 

bles," as the same was enacted by Chapter 197 of the Acts

 

of 1902, and to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sec-

 

tions 179A and 1796, as enacted by said Chapter 197 of the

 

Acts of 1902, with the object of providing for the appoint-

 

ment of justices of the peace for Allegany County, and for

 

fixing the salary of justices of the peace for the districts com-

 

prising the City of Cumberland.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

the State of Maryland is a party, and the said justices of the

 

peace shall make a monthly report to the Board of County

 

Commissioners on the first Monday of each month, setting

 

forth an itemized list of all fines and costs imposed by them

 

against offenders, and whether such costs and fines were paid

 

by the offenders or whether the offenders were committed to

 

jail or elsewhere in default of such payment, in order that the
