222. The Sheriff of Baltimore County shall receive an an-

nual salary of three thousand dollars, to be paid to him in

necessary deputies to assist him in the discharge of his duties,

and he shall be allowed the further sum of three hundred dol-

lars annually for transferring prisoners to and from penal in-

stitutions and places of confinement in the State of Mary-
|

land. He shall collect all fees and charges to which he may

shall retire from office, having uncollected any costs, fees and

charges lawfully payable to him, his successor shall collect and
|

pay over the same, and it shall be the duty of the Sheriff to
|
 
|
keep in his office in such books as may be required an official
|
 
|
record of the fees and charges to be collected by him, and those
|
 
|
which have been collected and such books shall remain in his
|
 
|
office after the expiration of his term for the use of his suc-
|
 
|
cessor.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
 
|
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 18 of Chapter 208 of

the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of the year
|

1884, entitled "An Act to incorporate the town of Pooles-

ville, in Montgomery County."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 18 of Chapter 208 of the Acts of the Gen-
|
Act of incorpo-
ration.

eral Assembly of Maryland of the year 1884 be and the same is
|
 
|
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
 
|
18. That the Chief Bailiff shall within ten days after the re-
|
 
|
ceipt of such list and warrant render to each person named
|
 
|
