SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 236 of Article 22 of the Code of Public

as enacted by Chapter 478 of the Acts of the General As-

 

sembly of Maryland of the year 1892, be and the same is

 

hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to

 

read as follows :

 

236. All property within the limits of Hancock, or what

in the county assessment the said Burgess and Commissioners

 

shall have power to include said property in the town assess-

 

ment, and impose a just valuation thereon; and the said Bur-

 

gess and Commissioners shall annually levy on the assessable

 

property of the town all needful taxes not exceeding' in amount

 

one hundred cents on every one hundred dollars worth of

 

assessable property for municipal purposes, and such further

 

sums that are now or may hereafter be authorized by law for

 

the liquidation of indebtedness; and the said Burgess and

 

Commissioners may appoint a collector to collect such taxes.
