or in the redemption of the principal thereof, as may be ap-

proved by the holders of a majority of the stock of the com-

pany, and the company shall have the right to redeem its

preferred stock upon such terms as may be prescribed in the

issue thereof, and the said company may specifically appro-

priate, for the payment of the dividends upon any class of such

preferred stock, or for the redemption of the principal thereof,

the revenues from any specific department of its business,

or the proceeds of any specific portions of its assets or prop-

erty, or the revenues therefrom; provided, that no injustice

shall thereby be done to the existing rights of other stock-

holders or creditors of the company.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the said company so incor-
porated shall have the power to contract for and purchase

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the said company be and

it is hereby authorized and empowered to supply the public,

pany, and the power thus received to supply as above men-

tioned, and to fix, charge, collect and receive rates and tolls

or franchises of any kind in Baltimore County; nothing in

this Act shall be construed to give the within company the

power to consolidate with any other corporation in this State

nor to do business within the City of Baltimore.

SEC. II. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.
