CHAPTER 629.

 

AN ACT to amend Article 1 of the Public Local Laws of

 

Maryland, entitled "'Allegany County," sub-title "Dogs and

 

Sheep," for the purpose of imposing a license upon said dogs

 

to raise a fund out of which to pay for sheep killed by such

 

dogs, and to add additional sections thereto, to be known as

 

Sections 100A, 100B, 100C, 100D, 100E, 100F, 100G, 100H

 

and 100I.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

 

land, That Article 1 of the Public Local Laws, of Maryland,

Dogs and

entitled "Allegany County," sub-title "Dogs and Sheep," be and

the same is hereby amended by adding thereto new sections to

 

follow after Section 100, to be known as Sections 100A, 100B,

 

100C, 100D, 100E, 100F, 100G, 100H and 100I.

 

100A. That from and after the passage of this Act there

 

shall be assessed, levied and collected, in the same manner

gany County, from the owners or keepers of dogs, taxes in the

 

following amounts, namely : For each male dog, one dollar ;

 

for each female dog, two dollars; and for each female dog

 

which shall be spayed, one dollar ; to be paid to the Treasurer

 

of said county, to be kept by him separate and apart from the

 

other taxes, and the same to be a fund from which persons

 

sustaining loss or damage to sheep by any dog or dogs, and the

 

necessary cost therefor, may be indemnified as hereinafter pro-

 

vided.

 

100B. That the constables in the several districts of Allegany

 

County for which they are appointed shall, on or before the
