191 Washington G. Tuck was elected Secretary to the College. On motion by Mr. Talbot J. Albert A committee of three was appointed to wait upon the Governor and inform him of the meeting and organization of the College and that it was prepared to receive a communication from him. The chair appointed as such committee Messrs. Merritt Wilson and Alexander Frank and Washington A. Smith Messrs. Wilson, Frank and Smith the committee appointed to wait upon the Governor and inform him of the organization of the college reported that they had performed that duty and were informed by the Governor that he would forthwith send a communication to the College. Hon. Richard Dallam Secretary of State appeared and delivered the following communication for the Executive. The State of Maryland Executive Department I Lloyd Lowndes, Governor of the State of Maryland, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 3 of the Act of Congress, approved. February 3rd 1887, do hereby certify that from a certified copy of the certificate of Determination of the result of an election for eight (8) Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, held in this State on on Thursday, the third day of November 1896, made by the Board of State Canvassers of the State of Maryland and filed with me by the Secretary of State of this State as required by law, it appears, that: |
