158 in Eugene Higgins of Baltimore City have appointed and by there presents do appoint and authorize him to take charge of one of said Certificates and lists and to convey and deliver the same to the President of the Senate of the United States at Washington. In Witness whereof we hereunto set our hands and seals this first day of December 1880. The said credentials were prepared by the Secretary and signed by the Electors. Whereupon the President delivered the third other certificate to Eugene Higgins (secretary to the College) with directions to convey it before the first Wednesday in January next ensuing to the President of the Senate of the United States at Washington and in the event of there being no President of the Senate to deposit the same in the office of the Secretary of the State at Washington. On motion of Mr. Welsh a vote of thanks was tendered the President for the dignified and courteous manner in which he had discharged his duties of the office. On motion of Mr. Waters the College adjourned sine die Attest Eugene Higgins Secretary to College |
