State of Maryland:
                        I hereby certify that by the returns received from the
City of Annapolis, the Town of Baltimore and the several Counties of
this State, of the Election held on the Fourteenth day of November last
for ten persons to vote on the part of this State, as Electors of the President
and Vice President of the United States, the following gentlemen
have the greatest number of votes and were declared by the Governor and
Council of the State aforesaid duly elected towit:
            Alexander Contee Hanson,
            John Eager Howard,
            Thomas Sim Lee,                            Esquires, for the
            William Smith,                                 Western Shore.
            Samuel Hughes,
            Richard Potts,
            William Richardson,
            Donaldson Yates,                            Esquires for the
            John Teney,                                     Eastern Shore.
            Levin Winder,
            In witness whereof I have hereto set my Hand this fifth
day of December, one Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety two.
