            Annapolis,
                            Wednesday, the 5th. Day of December 1792.

                At a meeting of the Electors for the State of Maryland of the
President and Vice President of the Untied States of America were convened
the following Gentlemen duly returned to the Executors of Maryland,
Electors, as aforesaid:
                                        For the Western Shore:
                                        John Eager Howard,
                                        Thomas Sim Lee,
                                        Richard Potts Esquires

                                        For the Eastern Shore:
                                        William Richardson,
                                        Donaldson Gates,
                                        John Teney
                                        Levin Winder Esquires

William Smith and Samuel Hughes Esquires, also elected for the Western
Shore, not attending, the Board of Electors proceeded to give their votes, agreeably
to the Constitution and Laws, in such cases provided.

                We the subscribers, Electors as aforesaid, do therefore certify
that having met as aforesaid; and having each voted, by ballot, for
two persons, agreeably to the Constitution of the Untied States; and having
examined the ballots; it appeared that
                                        George Washington,
of Virginia, now President of the United States, had Eight votes
And that
                                        John Adams,
of the State of Massachusetts
, now Vice President of the Untied States, had likewise
Eight votes:
                We further certify that we have appointed W. Chs. Vallette
of the City of Annapolis, to take charge of, and deliver one of our certificates,
as the Law requires, and that the said W. Vallette hath
accepted the appointment.
                In witness whereof we thereto set our Hands this Fifth day
of December Seventeen Hundred and ninety two.
