115 Senate as aforesaid deposit the same safely in the office of the Secretary of State at Washington. On motion of Mr. Goldsborough it was resolved unanimously (the Secretary putting the question) that the thanks of this Electoral College are tendered to the President thereof for the able and dignified manner in which he has presided over its deliberations. On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, it was resolved unanimously that the thanks of the Electoral College are due to the Secretary for the diligent and skillful performance of his duties. On motion of Mr. Webster, ordered that the officers of this College be allowed the usual mileage and per diem. On motion of Mr. Roman the Secretary was directed to record and attest the proceedings of the Electoral College. On motion of Mr. Roman The Electors adjourned sine die Attest Chapman Harwood Secretary |
