1856 for four years from the third day of March next ensuing that we then and there in pursuance to the Constitution and laws of the United States proceeded to vote by ballots for Vice President of the United States of America and on counting the ballots it was ascertained that Andrew Jackson Donalson received eight votes for Vice President of the United States of America. The annexed lists of the said persons with the votes given to the same are hereby returned by us the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in and for the State and Maryland in pursuance of the Constitution and laws of the United States as having the aforesaid number of votes. Done at the City of Annapolis on the first Wednesday of December being the third day of said month in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six. In witness whereof we hereto subscribe our hands and fix our seals. List of the Person voted for as President of the United States of America by the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in and for the State of Maryland, Millard Fillmore of the State of New York received eight votes for President of the United States of America. We hereby certify that the above is a true list of the person voted for by the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in and for the State of Maryland and of the number of votes by him received. Witness our hands and seals this third day of December in the year eighteen hundred and fifty six. |
