MISCELLANIA
Federal law set the meeting date for the elec-
toral college on the first Monday after th
second Wednesday in December; this wa
the first meeting to be held on that date.
Roosevelt was re-elected to the second ten
with a higher percentage of popular and elec
toral votes than before. World War II hap-
pened during this term.
Roosevelt disclaimed third term ambitions
and in spite of this, was renominated unani-
mously.
