                                            CHAP. XIX.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act to make the testimony of convicted
                        persons legal against convicted persons.

    The act of 1751, ch. 11, is continued, &c. as in the note under ch. 15.

                                            CHAP. XX.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act for the more effectual punishment of
          certain offenders, and for taking from them the benefit of clergy.

    The act of 1737, ch. 2, is continued for seven years, &c.  It was afterwards continued for seven years, &c.
by the act of June, 1773, ch. 2.  It was afterwards continued until the end of the next session, by the act
of October, 1780, ch. 12; and for one year, &c. by the act of May, 1781, ch. 29; and for seven years
by the act of November, 1782, ch. 32.

                                            CHAP. XXI.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An additional and explanatory act to the act,
    entitled, An act empowering the commissioners of the county courts, to levy
    and raise tobacco, to defray the necessary charges of their counties and parishes.

    The act of 1748, ch. 20, is continued for seven years, &c.  It was afterwards continued for seven
years, &c. by the act of June, 1773, ch. 2, and expired at the end of that term.

                                            CHAP. XXII.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act relating to guardians and orphans.

    The act of 1758, ch. 4, is continued, &c. as in the note under Ch. 15.

                                            CHAP. XIII.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act to prevent certain evils and inconveniencies
    attending the sale of strong liquors, and running horse races near the
    yearly meetings of the people called quakers, and to prevent the tumultuous
    concourse of negroes and other slaves during the said meetings; and also one
    other act, entitled, An act to amend and explain an act, entitled, An act to prevent
    certain evils and inconveniencies attending the sale of strong liquors, and
    running horse races near the yearly meetings of the people called quakers, and
    to prevent the tumultuous concourse of negroes and other slaves during the said
    meetings.

    The acts of 1747, ch. 17, and 1752, ch. 14, are continued for seven years, &c.  They were afterwards
continued for seven years, &c. by the act of June 1773, ch. 7, and for seven years, &c. by the act of October
1780, ch. 12.

                                            CHAP. XXIV.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act to exempt persons appearing at musters,
                                    from arrests in civil cases.

    The act of 1748, ch. 1, is continued, &c. as in the note under ch. 15.

                                            CHAP. XXV.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act for punishment of horse stealers, and
                                           other offenders.

   The act of 1744, ch. 20, is continued, &c. as in the note under ch. 15.

                                            CHAP. XXVI.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act for destroying wolves in Frederick
                                                  county.

    The act of 1751, ch. 3, is continued, &c. as in the note under ch. 21.

                                            CHAP. XXVII.
An ACT continuing an act, entitled, An act for repairing the public roads in this
                        province, and the supplementary act thereto.

    The acts of 1753, ch. 16, and 1754, ch. 12, are continued for three years, &c.  They were afterwards
continued for seven years, &c. by the act of 1769, ch. 2, and expired with the session of February, 1777;
but by the act of March, 1778, ch. 6, they were revived and continued for seven years, &c. and by the act
of 1785, ch. 77, they are continued for seven years further, &c.
