And the Said Nicholas Sporne in his Propper person comes and defends the
force and Injury when etc. and Prayeth Lycence thereof to imparle here untill
the next Court comeing and it is granted unto him the Same time is given to the
Plantiff likewise Att which day (to witt) the 26th day of September annoque
Domini 1699 here came as well the Said John Fisher by Joshua Cecell his
Attorney as the Said Nicholas Sporne to his Declaration aforesaid may answar.
And the Said Nicholas Sporne in his Propper person comes and defends the
force and Injury when etc. And Saith that he cannot gainesay the Action of the
Said Plantiff nor but that the bill of Exchange aforesaid is his Deed nor but
that he oweth the Said the Said John Fisher the 32 pounds Sterling in forme as
the Plantife above against him hath declared.
Therefore it is Considered that the Said John Fisher recover against the Said
Nicholas Sporne Defendant as well the Sume of thirty two pounds Sterling His
debt due for Damages upon the Protested bill of Exchange Togather with the
Sume of Six pounds Eight Shillings Damages upon the Protested bill of Ex-
change att twenty pounds Sterling per Cent as allso the Sume of five hundred
and Eighty Eight pounds of Tobacco to the Plantiff of his Assent for his Cost
and Charges of Suite by the Court here adjudged and the Said Nicholas Sporne
Defendant in Mercy.
Jonathan Matthews Plantiff: Hickford Lemon Defendant
Jonathan Matthews who brought his Majesties writt against the Defendant
in a Plea of Tresspass upon the Case, for that he hath not prosecuted his Said
writt:
Therefore it is Considered that the Said Jonathan Matthews and his Pledges
of Prosecuteing be in Mercy etc. And lett the Names of the Pledges be Sought
for and that the Said Hickford Lemon Defendant goe thereof without day etc.
It is Likewise Considered that the Said Hickford Lemon Defendant doe re-
cover against the Said Jonathan Matthews Plantiff the Sume of two hundred
Sixty five pounds of Tobacco his Damages by Occation of the Premisses by the
Discression of the Justices here to the Said Hickford Lemon Defendant for his
Cost and Charges by him in this Part Susteined According to the forme of the
Statute etc. by the Court here adjudged etc.

Thomas Taney and Jane his wife administratrix of Henry Truman Deceased
Brought his Majesties writt against David Small in a Plea of tresspas upon the
Case it being for the Sume of three Thousand five hundred Sixty and five
pounds of Tobacco as by Declaration Filed and account here Entred may appear.
