And the Said Thomas Taney and Jane his Wife Administratrix as aforesaid
by Joshua Cecell their Attorney comes and defends the force and Injury when
etc. and Prayeth Lycence thereof to imparle here untill the Next Court comeing
and it is granted unto them the Same time is given to the Plaintive Likewise.

And now here att this day (to witt) the 26th day of September annoque
Domini 1699 came as well the Said James Moor as the Said Thomas and Jane
administratrix of the Said Truman by their Attorney aforesaid and the Said
James Moore prayeth that the Said Thomas and Jane to the writt of Scire
facias aforesaid may answer.

The Truth of the Matter in Controversie between the Parties aforesaid by the
Court here being Seen heard and Maturely deliberated it is Considered that the
Said James Moor have Execution against the Said Thomas Tany and Jane his
Wife, and whereas they Sued as administrators noe Cost of the Scire facias Was
allowd.

John Fisher Plantiff: Nicholas Sporne Defendant

Nicholas Sporne Late of Prince Georges County Inholder was atteached to
answer unto John Fisher of a Plea of Tresspass upon the Case etc.

And whereupon the Said John Fisher by Joshua Cecell his Attorney Com-
pleineth that whereas the Said John the twenty ninth day of June in the year
of our Lord 1698 according to the Custome of Merchants had delivered unto him
a valuable Consideration to the Said Nicholas to the value of thirty and two
pounds Sterling in Marylyland with that intent that one John Hide then re-
sideing in London Should pay to the Said John Fisher the afforesaid £32
Sterling att the End of thirty Dayes Sight and demand made of the Said bill by
the Said Nicholas Signed and whereas there is had and from the time and from
the time of the Contrary whereof the memory of men is not Extent was had
such a Custome amonst Merchants and their Factors and Servants used and
approved that if any Merchant or Merchants or their Factors being in parts
beyond the Seas Should to any other Person being in the Parts beyond the
Seas Should deliver to any other Person being in the Parts beyond the Seas
any Sums of money to be Paid by any other Person in the Citty of London in
the Kingdome of England by bill of Exchange thereof made and directed to
Such Persons by whom the Same Should be Paid at thirty dayes Sight and Such
like merchant to whom Such Sume in the Said bill of Exchange Speacifyed
Should be limitted to be Payd or any other at the request of any Servant of
Such like merchant or Merchants within the time limitted for the Payment of
Such bill of Exchange Should come to the usiall dwelling house of Such Person
to whom the Said bill of Exchange should be directed to Shew Such person to
whom that bill Should be soe directed the aforesaid bill of Exchange to require
the Same person to accept Such bill of Exchange of Such person to whom Such
bill of Exchange Should be directed Should not then accept such bill of Ex-
change as aforesaid and thereupon That bill should be protested according to
the use of merchants then in such case such person which Should soe make
such bill of Exchange from the whole time aforesaid was Chargable and ought
to be Charged by such Merchants to whom Such Sume in Such bill of Exchange
Speacifyed Should be limitted to be Paid to pay to Such merchants to whome
the Same by bill of Exchange Should be Limitted to be paid Such Sume of
Money in Such bill of Exchange Specifyed if Such person to whom Such bill of
Exchange Should be soe directed Such Sume of money in Such bill of Exchange
