572 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

Edward Battson Plantiff: Joseph Greer Defendant

The Plantiff in his Propper person brought his Majesties writt in a plea of
Debt for Six Hundred pounds of Pickt and Guild Tobacco due by bill as by
the Said bill Filed and Declaration Filed appeareth.

And the Said Joseph Greer in propria persona cometh and defendeth the force
and Injury when etc. and Saith that he and Saith that he cannot Gainsay the
Action of the Said Edward Battson Plantife nor but that the bill abovesaid is
his Deed nor but that he oweth the Said Edward Battson the Said Six hundred
pounds of Pickt and Guild Tobacco in forme as the Plantife hath Declared
against him.

Therefore it is considered that the Said Edward Battson Plantiffe doe recover
against the aforesaid Joseph Greer Defendant as well the Sume of Six hundred
pounds of Pickt and Guild Tobacco his Debt aforesaid and allso the Sume of
two hundred and forty pounds of Tobacco to the Plantiff of his Assent for his
cost and Charges of Suite by the Court here adjudged and the Said Joseph Greer
Defendant in Mercy.

Michaell Taneys Executor Plantiff: David Small Defendant

Thomas Taney Executor of the Last will and Testament of Michell Taney
Deceased who brought the writt of the King against the Defendant in a Plea of
tresspass upon the Case for that he hath not prosecuted his Said writt.

Therefore it is considered that the Said Plantiffe and his Pledges of Prosecute-
ing be in mercy and lett the names of the Pledges be Sought for and that the
Said David Small goe thereof without day.

Daniell Ivey and Henry Arther Plantiff: John Chapman Defendant

The Plantives by William Stone their attorney brought his Majesties writt
against the Defendant in a Plea of Trespa[ss] upon the Case it being for one
Thousand Sixty three lbs. of Tobacco due upon account as by Declaration Filed
and account here Entred may appear.

Prooved in open Court according to Law.

And the Said John Chappman by Joshua Cecell his Attorney comes and de-
fends the force and Injury when etc. and prayeth Lycence thereof to imparle
here untill the Next Court Comeing and it is Granted unto him the Same day
is given to the Plantiffe Likewise.
