518 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

John Meryton demands a Subpoena for Thomas Well to testifie inter him and
Hugh Reyley: warrant to Subpoena and returne ut Supra.

Joseph Owen demands a Subpoena for William Sewell to Testify inter him
and Joseph Winger: warrant to Subpoena and returne ut Supra.

Phillip Dennis demands a Subpoena for Henry Buttler, Mathew Bignall,
Thomas Plummer and Elizabeth Scott to testifie inter him and William Prather:
warrant to Subpoena and returne as above.

His Majesty demands a Subpoena for Jonathan Simons and his maid to
testifie inter him against John Rooke: warrant to Subpoena and returne ut
Supra.

Venire Facias for John Rooke to appear and answer etc.

Venire Facias for James Watts and Elizabeth his wife to appear and answer
etc.

Venire Facias for Laurance Russell to appear and answer etc.

His Majesty demands a Subpoena for John Dorsett and William Conley

Att a Speaciall Court held att Charles Towne the 3rd day of July in the
Eleventh year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord William the third by the
Grace of God of England Scottland France and Ireland King Defender of the
Faith Annoque Domini 1699 by his Majesties Justices thereunto appoynted and
authorized (Viz.)

Present, Mr. John Smith, Mr. Samuell Magruder, Mr. Thomas Sprigg, Comis-

sioners.

Then was the writt for the Election of one Burges or Deligate for Prince
Georges County Read to Serve in Stead of Mr. William Barton and the Court
here are of oppinian that the Eighth day of July Instand being Satterday is the
most Convenient time he the Said Deligate be Chosen to Serve in the house of
assembly for this County Whereupon it was Ordered that the Sheriff give notice
to the Inhabitants of this County to meet att this Towne the Said Eighth day of
July Instand in order for the Electing and Chooseing the Same etc. Att which
Said Day a Considerable nomber of the Inhabitants rnett att the Said Towne
where was.

Present, Mr. Robert Bradley, Mr. John Smith, Mr. Samuell Magruder, Mr.

Thomas Sprigg, Commissioners.

Then was the writt for the Election of one Burgues or Deligate againe Read
To Serve in the Stead of Mr. William Barton and that whereas the Inhabitants of
this County have had timely notice in makeing their appearance in Ordar to
