Plowden - trespass on the Case; Thomas Colliar against Brightwells Administra-
tor-Debt 1616; Thomas Colliar against Brightwells administrator - Debt 950.
To these Five actions the Defendant in their proper persons appears and
imparles as above: Willsons Executors against William Greenupp - trespass on
the Case; The Same Executors against Matthew Mackeboy - trespass on the
Case; The Same Executors against Isaack Williams — trespass on the Case; Joshua
Cecell against Andrew Winkling - trespass on the Case; Henry Jowles against

for Storage for their use taken by John Short Deceased.
[431] John Bayne Plantiff: Richard Stephens Defendant
Richard Stephens otherwise called Richard Stephens of Prince Georges County
was Summoned to answer unto Captaine John Baine of a plea that hee render
unto him the Full and Just Sume of four hundred Sixtye four pounds of good
Sound Merchantable Leafe Tobacco and Caske which to him hee oweth and
unjustly deteineth etc.
And whereupon the Said John by William Stone his Attorney Saith that the
-Said Richard the 12th day of March in the year of Our Lord 1697 [1698] att
Charles Towne within the Jurisdiction of this Court by his certaine bill obliga-
tory which the Said John with the Scale of the Said Richard bringeth here into
Court whose date is the day and year aforesaid acknowledged himselfe to bee
bound to the Said John in the full Sume of four hundred Sixty and four
pounds of good Sound Merchantable Leafe Tobacco in Caske to be paid att or
upon the tenth day of October Next Ensueing the Date of the Said bill to the
which payment well and truely to be made the Said Richard bound himselfe
firmely by the Said bill Nevertheless the Said Richard the_ Said Full and Just
Sume of 464 pounds of Tobacco and Caske as aforesaid allthough often de-
