484 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

William Thompson Plantiff: Nathaniell Taylor Defendant

The Plantiffe by Joshua Cecell his attorney brought his majesties writt against
the Defendant of a plea of Tresspass upon the Case etc. it being for one pound
five Shillings Sterling as by Declaration filed appeareth.

Upon which the Plantiffe by his attorney afforesaid Prayeth Speaciall Baile
may bee given to the Action afforesaid and it is Granted unto him.

Whereupon came Mr. Thomas Hollyday into Court and offered himselfe to
Pay the Debt afforesaid and Cost of Suite after the tenth of October next
Ensueing.

Therefore it is Considered that William Thompson recover against the Said
Thomas Hollyday the Sume of one Pounds five Shillings his Debt aforesaid and
his Damages by Occation of Deteineing the Said Debt to pounds of
Tobacco of his Assent by the Court here adjudged and the Said Thomas Holly-
day in mercy.

His Majesty v. John Chapman

Be it remembred that the Jurors of our Sovereign Lord the King that now is
for the body of Prince Georges County for his Majestic upon their Oathes did
present John Chappman of the Said County for Rideing Mr. Robert Bradleys
horse Contrary to his knowledge against an act of assembly of this Province in
that case made and provided.

And hereupon his Said Majestic by Joshua Cecell Clerke of the Indictments
for want of a Sufficient proofe thereof here in Court acknowledgeth that he will
not Further prosecute in the behalfe of his Said Majesty the Said Action against
the Said John Chappman Mr. Bradley likewise Desiered that a Nole Prosecu
might be entred upon Record Therefore lett the Said John Chappman goe
thereof without Day etc.

His Majesty v. John Thickpenny

Bee it remembred that the Jurors of our Sovereigne Lord the King that now is
for the Body of Prince Georges County for his Said Majesty upon their Oathes
did present John Thickpenny for not Clearing the highweis he being one of the
Overseers of the Highweies of New Scottland Hundred, allso the Said Thicpenny
was Indighted by the Said Jury for Stealeing of hoggs for the first of which
Indightments it was Considered by the Court that att the time the Said John
Thickpenny Was held to Speaciall baile in an action of Debt Due to Samuell
Goosey for want of which hee was committed into the Custody of the Sheriff and
Soe made uncapable of Officiateing in that office and for that indightment for
Stealing of Hoggs noe Evidences came against the Said Thickpenny.

And hereupon his Said Majestic by Joshua Cecell Clerke of the Indictments
for want of a Sifficient proofe thereof here in Court acknowledgeth that he will
nott Further Prosecute in the behalfe of his Said Majestic the Said Indightment
against the Said John Thicpenny, Therefore lett the Said John Thickpenny goe
thereof without day etc.

Ordered that a venire goe forth for Benjamin Stephens to appear the next
Court to answer etc.

Ordered that a Venire goe forth for Elizabeth Plummer to appear the next
Court to answer etc.

[420] Ordered that a venire goe forth for Peter Scamper to appear the next
Court to answer etc.
