thirty Eight pounds of Tobacco of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the
Said John Cash in Mercy.

The Plantives by Joshua Cecell their attorney brought his Majestyes writt
against the Defendant in a Plea of trespass upon the Case etc. it being for five
hundred and fourteen pounds of Tobacco due upon account as by declaration

The Plantives by Joshua Cecell their attorney haveing caused a Coppy of the
Declaration by the Sheriffe Delivered to the Defendant att the time of Serving the
writt which was Eight dayes before this Court whereupon the Said Plantives Pray-
eth that the Said Defendant to his Declaration this Court may answer according
to an act of assembly in that Case made and Provided etc.
Whereupon the Said William Gaskin in his propper person cometh and de-
fendeth the force and Injury when etc. and Saith that he cannot gainesay the
action of the Said Joseph Jacson and Company nor but the five hundred and
fourteen pounds of Tobacco is Due and oweing unto them the Said Joseph and
Company in manner and forme as the Said Joseph and Company against him
hath declared.
Therefore it is Considered that the Said Joseph Jackson and Company recover
against the Said William Gaskin the Sume of five hundred and fourteen pounds
of Tobacco his Debt aforesaid and his Damages by occation of deteineing the
Said Debt to two hundred forty four pounds of Tobacco of their assent by the
Court here adjudged and the Said William Gaskin in mercy.

against the Defendant in a Plea of Tresspass upon the Case etc. it being for five
hundred and Sixty pounds of Tobacco due upon account as by Declaration filed
