Ann Shrewsbury Servant to Mr. William Barton adjudged to be 20 years of age
to serve according to act of assembly in Such Cases Made and provided.
Richard Stafford Servant to Henry Buttler adjudged 15 years old to Serve
according to act of assembly in Such Cases made and provided.
Collonell Ninian Beall made oath to the Serveying a certaine Parcell of Land
for Mr. Robert Middleton.

Matthew Mackeboy late of Prince Georges County planter was atteached to
answer unto Edward and Dudley Carleton of a plea of tresspass upon the Case
etc.
And whereupon the Said Edward and Dudley by William Stone their Attorney
Compleineth that whereas the Said Matthew the 25th day of November in the
year of Our Lord 1697 Att Charles Towne within the Jurisdiction of this Court
was indebted unto the Said Edward and Dudley in the Sume of four Hundred
and Sixty two pounds of Tobacco being for Severall goods and Merchandizes
by the Said Edward and Dudley to the Said Matthew Sold and Delivered as
by a Perticular account thereof here ready in Court to be produced More att
Large may appear, and the Said Matthew to the Said Edward and Dudley being
soe indebted as afforesaid inconsideration thereof did assume upon himselfe
and to the Said Edward and Dudley then and there faithfully promise that hee
the Said Matthew the Said Sume of 462 lbs. of Tobacco to the Said Edward and
Dudley when hee Should bee thereunto requested would well and truely Con-
tent and pay Nevertheless the Said Matthew his promise and assumption affore-
said not att all regarding but mindeing and fraudulently intending them the
